Sales Executive

Role Summary

The Sales Executive is responsible for driving the company’s growth through proactive market prospecting and strategic business development. The primary focus is to identify and secure new client partnerships while successfully expanding our service footprint within existing accounts. You will be the face of the company, promoting our international freighting expertise and delivering tailored logistics solutions to a diverse range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Outreach: Identify and connect with potential clients requiring ocean/air freight and customs clearance services.
  • Solution Selling: Consult with clients to provide the best shipping options.
  • Quotation Support: Work closely with the Customer Service team to prepare and present professional freight quotations.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain strong rapport with existing and new clients to ensure long-term business growth.

Technical Knowledge

  • Customs & Compliance: Solid understanding of customs clearance procedures and essential shipping documentation.
  • Classification Expertise: Familiarity with HS Codes and their impact on global trade and duty structures.
  • Logistics Fundamentals: Comprehensive grasp of Incoterms and the end-to-end international shipping flow.
  • Market Insight: Ability to interpret freight rate trends and navigate global logistics challenges.

General Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with prior experience in logistics or sales will have an added advantage.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage, especially for specific trade lane coordination.
  • Digital Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to quickly learn and adapt to freight management systems and digital tracking tools. Skilled in using PDF software for document management.
  • Mobility: Own transportation is an added advantage but not compulsory.
  • Professional Attributes:

Customer Service

Role Summary

The Customer Service & Pricing Coordinator serves as the essential link between our global network of agents and our valued clients. This role is focused on securing competitive freight solutions and providing expert guidance to customers throughout the shipment lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless flow of information, maintaining high service standards, and fostering strong internal collaboration to ensure every shipment is a success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Pricing: Liaise with overseas agents and local partners to source and negotiate the most competitive freight rates for the Sales team.
  • Client Consultation: Act as a dedicated advisor to customers, clearly explaining shipment flows and assisting them with documentation and process requirements.
  • Proactive Milestone Tracking: Maintain high-touch communication with clients, providing regular and proactive updates on shipment status (ETD/ETA) to ensure total transparency.
  • Internal Synergy: Facilitate excellent communication within the team by sharing market updates, agent insights, and “interesting news” to help collective problem-solving.
  • Solution Engineering: Anticipate potential logistics bottlenecks and provide immediate, creative solutions to customers to minimize delays.

Technical Knowledge

  • Shipping Mastery: A deep and thorough understanding of Incoterms and the International Shipping Flow (from booking and origin handling to final delivery).
  • Process Knowledge: Familiarity with customs clearance steps, port operations, and the role of 3rd-party logistics providers.
  • Documentation: Understanding of essential shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Manifests, and Commercial Invoices.

General Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with prior experience in logistics/sales will be at an advantage.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage for specific trade lane coordination.
